		| Here at Campus Kids, as the
Blair facility lets us, technology in the world advances, and our
counselors become more tech-savy, we keep creating more and more cool
videos to play for the talent shows, plays, and other events. |

		|   |
		But, as five staff members,
Adam, Ryan, Danny, Doug, and Jason  took the stage, they decided to
show us what a good ol' fashioned talent show is, and how we have been a
bit spoiled with all this technology! |

		| What was special
about these 5 counselors, is that they have been here at Campus Kids for
an extremely long amount of time, so they were able to bring old
traditions from previous talent shows, that many had forgotten about! |

		|   |

The show started out with a
video of the 5 men walking away from one of the dorms as it blew up,
(they made it dramatic because they had claimed that Steven Spielberg
had been directing their planned videos for the talent show) But then
they became frantic because in this dorm "explosion" (all special
effects, let me add, no worries) the "film" was destroyed as well. So
then they "decided" they just had to wing it! (of course this was all
		planned, hence the quotations) |

		So, they "spontaneously" did the
intros from previous talent shows and also some new ones such as: |

			- Bananas (where the staff ate bananas, spit it up, switched
plates, and then ate someone else's banana! ew!)

			- The Piano/Ukelele intro (where Jason played piano when
introducing the ukelele player and played ukelele when introducing
			the piano player)

			- A chugging contest between Ryan and Jason

			- Doug teached everyone how to "Dougie" CK style, (open schedule,
swing keys, call out "Ultimate!" and repeat)

			- Sills and Danny both made people look to the right and left, and
up and down, and while the suspense was building as to why everyone
was doing that, they just introduced the next act.

			- Then they did something called "Big League Chew" where they
stick as much gum into their mouth and see if they could still say
"Big League Chew". (much like the game Chubby Bunny for those who
			have heard of that)

			- They then did an extremely humurous skit if anyone remembers it
from our past campus. Years ago, when everyone was looking around
for the missing sponges, Ryan went to get the last one from the
top of a column, and accidentally some of the wall broke off! So,
they reenacted this skit, and Ryan very carefully went to get the
last sponge. They then all put the sponges together, and like always
			they yelled "NOTHING HAPPENED!"

			- They also performed a Cafeteria Beat where they created a beat
			off of the cafeteria utensils.

			- Sills and Danny then performed the classic Binoculars skit,
where they pretend to be on top of a building looking down at what's
happening in CK. They overexaggerate certain things and joke around
about the counselors. Always provokes a laugh from the audience!

They were all fantastic intros, their CK experience really was shown!

Of course with this amount of
fun in between the acts, there was just as much during the acts! We had: |

		| Jordan and Jess playing and
singing, "If It Means A Lot to You". |

		"Yellow". |

		| Noah singing, "Science and
		Faith". |

		| Daryn physically breaking
		boards! |

		| Remy performing a rap, while Ste
		played the drums. |

		| The Lunar Ladies dancing to,
		"Waka Waka". |

		| David, Corey, Owen, Dan, Alec,
and Ethan performing an excellent song on the trumpet, piano, drums,
		guitar, and vocals! |

		| And last but not least, a very special
tribute was performed. This has happened a couple times before, for
		example, one was dedicated to
Teri. This time, it was for the one and only Matt Lurrie. The
hosts called up two volunteers on stage- Matt and Luke. They put a
blindfold on Matt and told Matt that Luke and him would try and find the
mystery prize on stage. Luke scampered off stage, and Matt was the only
one left, and everyone cheered him on, as he was looking for
well...nothing. Then finally, when the blindfold was removed, Matt saw
that his three pals, Ste, Simon, and Abe were getting ready to perform.
They wrote a humurous and touching song, all about Matt. It also had a
fun slideshow in the background. This song certainly showed how much
Matt has meant to the camp throughout the years. It had many in tears at
the end, including Matt. Great job guys, and we love you Matt! |

		(special solo from Danny!) |

		|   |
At the very end, the hosts put
together a fantastic slideshow which had a trip down memory lane! It
showed pictures of all the staff that were once campers here!  |

Then there was a quick clip of
Stu teaching Tom how to shake his booty, and then we got to see the
booty-shaking in person from Stu!   |

		| I'd like to thank the hosts of
the talent show for not only putting together a great show, but also for
giving many an extremely nostalgic night! The talent, audience, and
everyone behind the scenes were fantastic as always. Bravo! Tradition
can be a great thing! So that's what we do at Campus Kids- mixing the
		old and new everyday! |
